An established and growing independent commercial insurance broker in London is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Claims Handler to join their expanding team.This is a key role within the business, acting as a trusted advisor to clients and a technical referral point internally. You’ll play a vital part in delivering a high-quality, proactive claims service that strengthens long-term client relationships.The Role: As Senior Claims Handler, you’ll manage a varied portfolio of commercial claims from first notification through to final settlement, ensuring clients are supported throughout the entire claims journey.You’ll be responsible for:Handling complex commercial claims across Property, Liability, Motor Fleet and other SME/mid-market risksActing as the primary point of contact for clients during the claims processLiaising with insurers, loss adjusters, solicitors and third partiesChallenging insurers where appropriate to achieve fair and timely settlementsProviding technical guidance and mentoring to junior team membersIdentifying trends and feeding back to Account Executives to support risk management discussionsEnsuring compliance with FCA requirements and internal proceduresThe Person:You’ll be an experienced commercial claims professional who understands the broker environment and the importance of client advocacy.We’re looking for:Proven experience handling commercial insurance claims within a broker or insurerStrong technical knowledge across multiple commercial classesConfidence negotiating with insurers and managing complex claimsExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsA client-focused, solutions-driven mindsetCert CII or progress toward professional qualifications would be advantageous.Why Join?Salary up to £40,000 depending on experienceHybrid working model (London office + home)Supportive and collaborative cultureClear progression opportunities within a growing brokerageExposure to a varied and interesting client portfolioIf you’re looking to join a respected commercial broker where you can genuinely add value and take ownership of your work, we’d love to speak with you.To apply for this role, please forward your CV in confidence.If you do not hear from us within 7days unfortunately your application has been unsuccessful.
