Technical Accounting Manager - Insurance - London (Hybrid) - £110,000 - £125,000 Your new company A dynamic and forward-thinking insurance group is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to join its London-based finance team. This is a pivotal role focused on embedding key reporting changes, providing technical and commercial guidance, and ensuring compliance with evolving accounting standards in a complex reporting environment.You’ll be instrumental in driving continuous improvement across reporting processes, maintaining robust controls, and supporting statutory and regulatory deliverables.Your new role Key ResponsibilitiesLead technical reviews of statutory and regulatory reporting (Annual Reports, Solvency II, Lloyd’s, NAIC, etc.)Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS, Lloyd’s, and Solvency IIProduce technical accounting papers and evaluate the financial reporting impacts of significant transactionsAct as the primary finance contact for projects and change initiativesPrepare and review Board and Audit Committee papersSupport financial statement disclosures and complex journal entriesProvide quarterly training and respond to regulator queriesAssist with tax compliance and finance controls documentationWhat you'll need to succeed ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent)Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS, Lloyd’s, and Solvency IIProficiency in Microsoft Excel and handling complex data setsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAnalytical mindset with strong reconciliation abilitiesProven ability to meet deadlines and solve problems independentlyKnowledge of regulatory standards and compliance frameworksWhat you'll get in return This is a unique opportunity to be part of a vibrant, inclusive, and high-performing team within a company that values curiosity, collaboration, and radical simplicity.
