Payroll Manager 9-12 month FTCCentral LondonHybrid working Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join their busy team during a period of transition. Duties include;Oversee end‑to‑end payroll for monthly staff, volunteers, and grant‑funded rolesEnsure compliance with HMRC legislation and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP)Manage FPS/EPS submissions and liaise with HMRC on payroll‑related queriesAdminister pension schemes including auto‑enrolment, charity‑specific schemes, and provider uploadsOversee salary allocations across restricted and unrestricted funding streamsEnsure accurate payroll coding for grant reporting and funder auditsComplete monthly payroll reconciliations and provide payroll journals to financeManage payroll for part‑grant‑funded posts, projects, and externally financed programmesSupport finance colleagues with year‑end reporting, audit requests, and SOFA payroll dataMaintain strong internal controls in line with charity governance expectationsLead and develop payroll staff, supporting cross‑function working with HR and FinanceEnsure accurate processing of starters/leavers, contractual changes, and safeguarding‑related checksProduce payroll reports for senior management, trustees, and budget holdersSupport system improvements, data cleansing, and payroll–HR system integrationsYou will have;Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory payments Experience managing end‑to‑end payroll within a charity or not‑for‑profit organisationUnderstanding of restricted/unrestricted funding and salary allocationsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work closely with Finance and HR teamsConfident with pension administration and auto‑enrolmentGood understanding of audit requirements and charity governanceProblem‑solving mindset and confidence handling complex queriesHigh level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalismStrong communication skills when dealing with internal stakeholders and auditorsIf you have all of the above, and you are available immediately to commit to a contract position, then please apply nowNo sponsorship available # 4770158
