Head of CAPEX - Construction/Infrastructure - London (hybrid) - £80,000 - £100,000 Your new company I am working with a leading construction/asset management business looking for a Head of Capex to join the London team in a global role. Your new role As Head of Capex, you will take ownership of the company’s capital investment portfolio, ensuring that all major projects are effectively prioritised, justified and executed. Key responsibilities include:Developing the multi‑year capital investment strategy, aligned to commercial growth and asset lifecycle prioritiesLeading the annual capex planning process, including scenario modelling and portfolio optimisationManaging governance across all investment activity, ensuring clear processes, approval discipline and financial transparencyEvaluating business cases for fleet acquisition, refurbishment programmes, depot upgrades and technology improvementsOverseeing project delivery performance, ensuring investments are completed on time, on budget and to specificationWorking closely with Operations, Asset Management, Finance and Procurement to balance capacity, quality and ROIDriving continuous improvement in fleet utilisation, lifecycle optimisation, standardisation and sustainability outcomes.This is a visible, commercially impactful role with regular interaction at executive level.What you'll need to succeed Extensive experience managing capex programmes in an asset‑intensive environment (buildings, construction, rental, engineering, logistics, equipment or similar)Strong financial modelling skills and understanding of ROI, NPV, IRR and portfolio analysisProven capability in capital planning, governance, and large‑scale project oversightExcellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate confidently at Board and Executive levelA strategic mindset combined with hands‑on delivery focusWhat you'll get in return You will be rewarded with a competitive salary and the chance to join a fast-paced, growing organisation in a visual role with extensive exposure to senior executives.
