Risk & Compliance Officer – London / HybridPermanent | Full-time | £45,000A leading international law firm is seeking a skilled Risk & Compliance Officer to join its established global Risk & Compliance function. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious compliance professional looking to build their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.About the RoleAs a Risk & Compliance Officer, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and compliant onboarding of clients and matters. Working within a collaborative team, you will support practitioners across the firm on a range of risk, regulatory and conflicts-related issues. This role is based in London with hybrid working available.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging client and matter inception, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards and internal policiesConducting AML checks, KYC reviews and sanctions screeningsAdvising on and recording client-specific engagement termsOngoing monitoring of client and matter riskAssisting with the setup and maintenance of confidentiality barriersSupporting compliance reporting, audits, internal training and process-improvement projectsLiaising closely with legal, revenue, marketing and conflicts teams where requiredAbout YouTo succeed as a Risk & Compliance Officer, you’ll bring:At least two years’ experience in a compliance function within a regulated environment – ideally a law firmA law degree or GDL (preferred)Strong AML knowledge and excellent attention to detailConfident communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationshipsHigh levels of integrity, organisation and resilienceProficiency in Outlook, Word and ExcelWhy Join?This role provides the chance to develop specialist compliance expertise within a highly respected law firm that values professional development, collaboration and high-quality work.
