Role: Property Litigation ParalegalLocation: Leeds, West YorkshireSalary: £26,000Contract: Full time, permanent, hybridA long-established, full-service UK law firm with offices across England and Wales is seeking a Paralegal to join its Housing Management and Property Litigation team in Leeds. With over 350 employees nationwide, the firm advises a diverse client base including large corporate organisations, charities, housing associations, regulators, developers, landowners, investors, local authorities, and private individuals. The firm has experienced significant growth in recent years and continues to expand its national and international reach. The Role This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established Housing Management and Property Litigation team. The successful candidate will support solicitors and senior fee earners while also developing responsibility for their own caseload. The team advises Registered Providers of Social Housing and private landlords on a wide range of housing management and property litigation matters. Experience in Housing Management or Property Litigation is desirable but not essential. Key Responsibilities The role will include (but is not limited to): Assisting solicitors and fee earners with the day-to-day management of filesDrafting claim forms, pleadings, witness statements, and other court documentationManaging multiple deadlines across a varied caseloadPreparing trial bundles and court documentationLiaising with courts to ensure documentation is filed and processed correctlyAttending court to support counsel and fee earnersConducting advocacy in the County Court on routine matters (where appropriate)Responding to client and counsel enquiriesMaintaining accurate and well-organised electronic and hard copy filesUndertaking occasional site visits where requiredMeeting performance targets set by the line managerComplying with departmental procedures and regulatory requirements The Team The department is one of the largest specialist housing management and property litigation teams in England and Wales, comprising over 70 fee earners, including partners, solicitors, and paralegals. The team acts for more than 100 Registered Providers nationwide and is recognised for its expertise in housing management and property-related disputes. Candidate Profile Essential: Minimum 2:2 degree in Law (or equivalent qualification/conversion)Strong legal research and drafting skillsExperience preparing court documents, including pleadings and witness statementsExcellent organisational and administrative skills, including diary managementConfident IT skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)Clear and effective communication skills, including the ability to explain legal matters in plain EnglishStrong attention to detail and methodical working styleAbility to manage competing deadlines and prioritise effectivelyComfortable working both independently and as part of a teamProfessional, calm, and client-focused approach About CRA Consulting: CRA Consulting are a specialist legal recruiter, operating across the UK.
