An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced SEN Tribunal Officer to manage a caseload of Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Tribunal appeals within a Local Authority environment.You will lead on the identification, analysis and management of complex SEND tribunal cases, prepare legal documentation, and represent the Local Authority at tribunal hearings where required. The role focuses on delivering a high-quality, solution-focused service to support children and families while reducing the need for formal appeals where possible.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a caseload of SEND Tribunal appeals from initial registration to resolutionPrepare case statements, evidence bundles and reportsRepresent the Local Authority at Tribunal hearingsEnsure compliance with SEND legislation and statutory timelinesWork collaboratively with parents, schools, legal teams and professionalsSupport early resolution and mediation to avoid escalationRequirementsDegree-level education or equivalent experienceStrong experience within SEND and tribunal or legal frameworksUp-to-date knowledge of SEND legislation and processesExcellent advocacy, communication and negotiation skillsExperience managing complex casesFull UK driving licence and willingness to travelDesirableLocal Authority SEND experienceExperience representing cases at the TribunalApplyIf you are an experienced SEND professional with Tribunal experience looking for your next opportunity, please apply now.
