Financial ControllerCentral London | Hybrid (3 days in office)Salary: Circa £85,000 + bonusPermanent, Full Time A rapidly expanding, PE backed business is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to work alongside the CFO, developing a robust, scalable finance function while gaining exposure to senior stakeholders and contributing to key business priorities and growth plans. The RoleReporting to the CFO, you will lead the finance function, overseeing financial reporting, core operations, and controls while managing a small team. You will also drive process improvements, enhance systems, and support the business in preparing for future funding and strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Control Lead the month-end close and produce consolidated management accountsEnsure balance sheet integrity and manage working capitalMaintain and improve internal controls and data accuracy Technical Accounting & Compliance Prepare statutory accounts under UK GAAP / IFRSOversee audits and regulatory filingsManage tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions Commercial & Strategic Support Partner on budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysisProvide financial insight to support strategic decisionsDeliver cashflow forecasting and scenario modelling Process Improvement & Systems Drive automation and efficiency improvements across financeEnhance reporting systems and overall financial infrastructureSupport due diligence and readiness for investment or transaction activity Stakeholder & Investor Reporting Prepare insightful reporting for senior leadership and investorsSupport financing, corporate transactions, and strategic projects Person Specification Seasoned Financial Controller with hands-on experience in fast-growing and scaling businessesSolid expertise in technical accounting, including UK GAAP and IFRSDemonstrated success overseeing month-end reporting, audits, and robust internal controlsCommercially focused with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective communicator, experienced in engaging and influencing senior stakeholdersFully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
