You will play a major role in ensuring that high quality planned projects are delivered and best value is achieved, leading a team of construction professionals across a range of disciplines delivering construction projects alongside a team delivering advice and support on Fire Safety matters and Supplies and Stores.Excellent training and promotion opportunities plus an attractive benefits package, including flexible working arrangements, will enable you to enjoy a good work/life balance and a rewarding career with Northern Irelands largest employer.Key benefits25 days annual leave, rising to 30 days after five years service.12 public and privilege holidays each year.Flexible ways of working depending on job role.Opportunity for career progression.An employer pension contribution of 34.2%Job stability.Some key duties (for a full list of key duties, see our candidate information booklet):Acting as the lead PSD officer in relation to matters pertaining to electrical engineering.Leading and managing for all staff and business activities within the multidisciplinary team, with responsibility for making key decisions on team workload, staff resources and the delegation of works.Leading and managing the provision of advice pertaining to the services delivered by the multidisciplinary team to Northern Ireland Departments, their Agencies and Non-Departmental Public Bodies.Leading and managing the engagement with clients including being the principal point of contact for new and existing customers, on matters concerning the provision of all services delivered by the multidisciplinary (Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical services, as well as the Fire Safety unit and Supplies and Stores unit) team. Attendance at regular client liaison meetings.Applicants must, by the closing date for applications:Be a current Chartered Electrical Engineer*ANDHave at least 3 years experience in the design and delivery of electrical services within buildings** with a total aggregate value of at least £1M per annumANDHave at least 3 years experience of successfully leading a team in the construction sector.* Equivalent professional membership: Applications will also be considered from applicants with relevant professional membership considered by the selection panel to be of an equivalent or higher standard to those stated.
