Your new companyYou will be joining an established and well-respected civil engineering contractor based in Coventry delivering infrastructure projects nationwide. This multi-accredited contractor operates across a multitude of different sectors and boasts an impressive list of high-profile clientele. They offer a strong pipeline of work as well as excellent opportunities for professional growth and career progression, and as part of their continued growth, they are actively seeking an Assistant Estimator to join their high-performing team. This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Coventry office. Your new roleAs an Assistant Estimator, you will play a key role in producing accurate, competitive and technically robust tenders that support the company's continued growth. Working closely with the Senior Estimator and wider pre-construction team, you will be involved in: Preparing detailed cost estimates for high-profile infrastructure projectsAnalysing project drawings, specifications and technical informationDeveloping pricing strategies and supporting bid submissionsEngaging with suppliers and subcontractors to gather quotations and evaluate optionsSupporting value engineering, risk assessments and tender reviewsEnsuring that estimates reflect industry best practice, commercial awareness and project requirements. What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful, you will bring: Experience in estimating within heavy civil constructionStrong analytical and numerical skillsSound IT proficiency; experience in EValuate estimating software (desirable)Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approachFull UK driving licence. This role would suit a Junior or Assistant Estimator looking to step up, or an Intermediate Estimator seeking a more specialist and rewarding environment.
