Bid Writer - North / North East London (On‑Site)Join a well‑established main contractor and play a key role in shaping high‑quality, winning bid submissions. This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Bid Writer who enjoys working closely with preconstruction teams to produce clear, compelling and professionally crafted tender responses.The OpportunityYou'll work as part of a collaborative preconstruction and bid function where your writing directly influences project success. This is an ideal environment for someone who enjoys taking ownership, simplifying complex technical input, and turning it into persuasive, well‑structured content.Key ResponsibilitiesProduce professionally written tender submissions, proposals and presentation materialsResearch and gather information from technical, operational and commercial teamsEdit, proofread and refine written content to ensure clarity, accuracy and impactMaintain and develop a library of up‑to‑date bid content, case studies and supporting materialSupport continuous improvement across bid processes and ensure all deadlines are consistently metWhat We're Looking For3+ years' experience working in a construction, property or built‑environment settingStrong writing, editing and proofreading skills with the ability to create clear, engaging contentConfident managing multiple deadlines and working with stakeholders across the businessExperience producing bids for Local Authorities or frameworks is beneficialProficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe Suite and Indesign is an advantageStrong communicator with the ability to challenge, question and extract accurate informationDegree in English, Communications, Business, or similar is preferred but not essentialWhy This Role Stands OutClose‑knit preconstruction team with a supportive and collaborative environmentFull visibility of the bid lifecycle with the autonomy to shape content qualityOpportunity to work across a wide range of construction projectsIf you'd like a confidential conversation or want to discuss this role further, please get in touch with Vekshana.Aldwych Consulting values diversity and promotes equality.
