Legal Assistant – Residential ConveyancingFull-Time | Office BasedTSR Legal are pleased to be working with a well-established and reputable law firm who are looking to appoint an experienced Legal Assistant to join their busy Residential Conveyancing Department.This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and enthusiastic conveyancing professional who enjoys working in a supportive team environment while providing hands-on support to an experienced fee earner.The RoleYou will provide direct support to a Residential Conveyancer, assisting with a varied caseload of sales and purchases from instruction through to post-completion. This is a fast-paced department, so previous conveyancing experience is essential.Your responsibilities will include:Opening and closing files using the firm’s case management systemTaking client instructions, obtaining source of funds and carrying out ID checksProviding regular updates to clients, solicitors and estate agents via telephone and emailPreparing draft documents and issuing contract packs on salesRequesting mortgage redemption statementsDrafting transfer deedsResponding to enquiries on sales transactionsOrdering and reviewing searchesAssisting with exchange of contracts on sales and purchasesUndertaking pre-completion searchesPreparing and submitting LTT/SDLT returnsManaging post-completion formalitiesWhat My Client Is Looking ForPrevious experience as a Conveyancing Assistant (essential)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively within a small teamExcellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloadHigh level of attention to detailConfident using Microsoft Office and case management systemsEfficient, adaptable and proactive approachA good understanding of regulatory requirements, including source of funds checks and compliance procedures, is also important.Salary & BenefitsSalary negotiable depending on experience25 days annual leave plus Bank HolidaysCompany pensionFull-time position (part-time hours will be considered for the right candidate)Office-based roleIf you are an experienced Conveyancing Assistant looking to join a friendly and well-regarded firm where you can play an integral role within the department, I would be pleased to speak with you in confidence, contact Hannah Williams at TSR Legal directly or apply below.
