Our Finance Shared Services team plays a vital role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting across all business categories. We’re now looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our General Ledger team and support a portfolio of Samworth Brothers businesses. This role is perfect for someone who is working towards (or has achieved) an AAT qualification, has experience in finance, and enjoys problem‑solving in a collaborative team environment. Deliver month‑end activities for a defined set of Samworth Brothers businesses, ensuring all deadlines are met. Prepare and post prepayments, accruals, and other required journals accurately. Coordinate and calculate intercompany recharges to support accurate cost allocation. Complete balance sheet reconciliations for allocated accounts, ensuring audit‑ready quality. Support ad hoc management accounting tasks and contribute to continuous improvement projects. The Ideal Candidate We believe that success is built upon collaboration and diverse perspectives. As a valued member of our team, you will bring the following skills and experience: - Working towards or achieved an AAT qualification (apprenticeship routes considered). Previous experience in a finance or accounts environment. Strong Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and manipulate data confidently. Familiarity with ERP systems (desirable but not essential). A proactive, adaptable approach with strong teamwork and communication skills.
