Senior Practice Manager – this is a great opportunity for an experienced BD Manager to move into a practice manager role. Aligned to the firm’s leading transactional practices, this role will lead on building collaboration across multiple teams within the firm to ensure all stakeholders are on the same page when it comes to the practices. The practice manager will be a strong relationship builder and influencer, and be able to support the practice leaders on market growth. Key responsibilities include: Practice group strategy; Working on practice group strategy and performance including working closely with Finance to monitor utilisation, recovery, revenue and work closely with underperforming areas and BD on client/market growth opportunities. Strategic planning for the business group; acting as the driving force to deliver the strategy and ensure it is being implemented – keeping partners accountable and on track and reporting on progress. Group performance; Managing Business Group performance in line with the Business Group plan through the understanding and analysis of utilisation / resourcing of teams / capacity etc. Talent; Work closely with Talent and business group leadership on lateral hires, performance review processes and partner promotions. Technology and operational efficiency; ensure resourcing is delivering profitable work across the business group, utilising technology where relevant and ensuring adoption of products available within the firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial awareness and understanding of the legal sector. You will also demonstrate excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills as well as an innovative mindset with an understanding of AI applications and legal technology trends.
