Full-Time SEN Learning Support Assistant - Secondary Schools - LambethWe are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Learning Support Assistant to join welcoming and supportive secondary schools across Lambeth on a full-time (5 days per week) basis.This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential in a structured and nurturing learning environment.The RoleAs an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to provide targeted support to students with a range of additional learning needs. You will play a key role in helping students engage with the curriculum, build confidence, and make meaningful academic and personal progress.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide one-to-one and small group support for students with Special Educational NeedsAssist students in accessing the secondary school curriculum across various subjectsSupport the development of students' academic, social, and emotional skillsWork collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staffImplement learning strategies and behaviour support plans where requiredFoster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environmentRequirementsPrevious experience working as an SEN Learning Support Assistant or in a similar educational support roleStrong subject knowledge and confidence supporting secondary-level learningA degree is preferred, though not essential for candidates with strong relevant experienceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPatience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needsAbility to work proactively and adapt to different classroom environmentsThe SchoolThe schools we work with in Lambeth are known for their welcoming and supportive environments, where staff are valued and collaboration is encouraged.
