Accounts & Regulatory Data Analyst Stafford Based Salary £45,000 We're looking for an analytically minded Accounts & Regulatory Data Analyst to take ownership of our MI, regulatory reporting data, and financial systems automation. This is a standalone role with real influence, ideal for someone who enjoys working end-to-end, from data extraction through to insight, storytelling and process improvement. If you love data, Excel, and making messy datasets make sense, this role offers the freedom to shape how we use MI across the Society. The Opportunity You'll lead the development of our management information framework, support financial and regulatory reporting, and help us move towards more automated, accurate and insightful data capabilities. You'll work closely with Finance, Risk and other business areas to design MI that drives better decision-making at Committee and Board level. We use Power BI and SQL but Excel remains the backbone. What You'll Do Develop and enhance our MI and financial data reportingExtract, mine and analyse data using SQL and ExcelSupport implementation of a new regulatory reporting systemImprove interfaces between the core system (Provision) and SageAutomate MI and data extracts wherever possibleBuild dashboards and reporting to support Exec and Board needsIdentify data quality issues and design solutionsPrepare for regulatory returns and adapt to changing requirementsContribute to financial audits, process reviews and operational resilienceEnsure compliance with Financial Crime, Data Protection and Conduct Rules What You'll Bring Strong analytical mindset with the ability to tell a story with dataAdvanced Excel skills and experience using SQLExperience extracting, manipulating and presenting dataAbility to identify trends, issues and insights from large datasetsPower BI experience is beneficial but not essentialBackground in Financial Services is helpful but not requiredComfortable working in a stand-alone role without a Data teamA proactive mindset, spotting improvements and driving automation Please click "APPLY" or email
