IT Technician / Cyber SecurityLocation: GosportJob Type: Rolling contractWe are seeking a dedicated IT Technician with a focus on Cyber Security to join our team. This role involves providing both first and second level IT support to end-users, ensuring the integrity and security of enterprise data across our Network/Servers infrastructure, and maintaining all IT assets in accordance with cyber essentials guidelines.Day-to-day of the role:Provide first and second level IT support to end-users, addressing issues related to application, database, network, telephony, and server operations.Ensure the security and integrity of data on college computers, servers, databases, in the cloud (Office 365 and G-suite), and during data transfers.Monitor and maintain network devices, IT infrastructure, and cloud platforms to comply with the latest cyber security guidelines.Monitor and audit all IT assets to ensure they are updated with the latest security patches, firmware updates, and driver updates.Analyze emerging vulnerabilities and threats, produce reports, and share intelligence with the IT team.Manage user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations following best practices for privacy, security, and compliance.Provide IT/AV systems support across all college sites within the Trust and manage the internal IT ticketing system.Develop and maintain documentation to support users and Junior IT Technicians.Required Skills & Qualifications:Experience in providing IT support and managing IT security measures.Strong understanding of network infrastructure, cloud platforms (Office 365, Google), and cyber security guidelines.Ability to analyze and report on IT security threats and vulnerabilities.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.Experience in managing user accounts and ensuring compliance with privacy and security regulations.To apply for this IT Technician / Cyber Security position, please submit your CV.*you will need an enhanced DBS, dated within 3 months, or on the update service*
