Application Architect - ContractLocation: London (2–3 days per week on-site)Contract: 6 month Rate: £650 - £700 per day A leading international professional services organisation is seeking an experienced Applications Architect to support the selection, design, and global rollout of enterprise-grade applications across a complex, distributed environment.This role requires strong architectural capability across Microsoft 365, Azure, SaaS/COTS platforms, and enterprise integrations. You’ll work embedded within the Strategy & Architecture function, supporting governance, design assurance, and technical leadership across multiple ongoing initiatives.Key Responsibilities: Act as the technical lead for new applications and cloud-hosted SaaS projectsOwn architectural design, governance, and technical decision-makingProduce detailed architecture artefacts including HLDs, LLDs, patterns, and standardsSupport the global rollout and adoption of enterprise applicationsEvaluate vendor solutions, contribute to RFI/RFP processes, and advise on product selectionEnsure solutions meet security, performance, and compliance requirementsWork with cross-functional teams to align technology with strategic roadmapsProvide expertise on integrations between SaaS/COTS applications and existing systemsKeep abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practiceEssential Skills & ExperienceStrong experience architecting Microsoft 365 solutions (SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Teams)Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)Proven background designing and integrating COTS/SaaS applicationsExperience producing enterprise-grade architecture documentationFamiliarity with global, multi‑region user environmentsStrong stakeholder and vendor engagement skillsExperience in professional services, financial services or similar regulated industriesDesirable ExperienceKnowledge of enterprise applications such as iManage, Intapp, Litera, Aderant, or similarTOGAF certification or equivalent EA frameworksAzure Solutions Architect Expert certificationIf you’re an experienced Applications Architect with strong M365 and Azure expertise and are available for an immediate Outside IR35 contract, please reach out or apply!
