This is an opportunity to play a key role in designing and delivering high-performance, scalable systems while working with modern cloud technologies.The RoleAs a Principal Engineer, you will act as a technical leader within the engineering organisation. You will be responsible for designing and delivering scalable backend systems, guiding architectural decisions, and supporting engineering teams to deliver high-quality software.Working closely with product, architecture, and engineering teams, you will help shape the technical roadmap while ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable.ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of scalable, high-performance Java applicationsProvide technical leadership and mentorship across engineering teamsDefine and influence system architecture and engineering best practicesDesign and build cloud-native solutions using AWSCollaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutionsDrive improvements in performance, scalability, and reliability across systemsContribute to strategic technology decisions and long-term platform evolutionRequirementsExtensive experience developing applications using Java in enterprise environmentsStrong experience designing distributed systems and scalable backend architecturesProven experience building and deploying solutions on AWSStrong understanding of microservices architecture and modern software design principlesExperience working with RESTful APIs and event-driven systemsAbility to mentor and guide engineers across multiple teamsExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsLocationCandidates must be based in Northern Ireland and have the right to work in the UK.This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful systems, collaborate with highly skilled engineers, and influence technical direction at a senior level.If you have any further questions on the role, please feel free to reach out to Brendan McCrory directly.Benefits:Work From Home
