We are working with a systematic hedge fund seeking a Lead Windows Engineer to design and build the organisation’s Windows infrastructure from the ground up.This is a rare opportunity to own the Windows platform architecture and play a key role in designing and implementing the core infrastructure that supports trading, research and operations systems.You will lead the development of a secure, scalable and highly automated Windows environment, spanning on-premise and cloud infrastructure.ResponsibilitiesLead the architecture, implementation and ongoing management of enterprise Windows infrastructureDesign and deploy core services including Active Directory, identity management and enterprise authenticationBuild and maintain the firm’s Windows Server environment across on-prem and cloud platformsDevelop automation frameworks using PowerShell and infrastructure-as-code toolingImplement security controls, patching, monitoring and configuration managementPartner with engineering, trading, operations and security teams to deliver a reliable platformIntegrate infrastructure with trading systems, internal applications and external vendorsDefine infrastructure standards, documentation and operational best practicesInfrastructure engineers are responsible for designing and maintaining the foundational systems that support business operations and applications across the organisation.RequirementsExtensive experience in enterprise Windows infrastructure engineeringStrong expertise with Windows Server environments and enterprise architectureDeep knowledge of Active Directory, identity services and Group PolicyExperience managing authentication and directory services that control access across corporate systems.Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShellExperience supporting virtualisation platforms (VMware / Hyper-V) and hybrid infrastructureExposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWSExperience implementing monitoring, patching and configuration management frameworksStrong troubleshooting skills across complex enterprise systemsExperience in hedge funds, trading firms or financial services environments is highly desirable.Get in touchThis is an amazing opportunity to build a new windows infrastructure within a technology driven firm.
