The Music Department The Music Department is a large, well-resourced and highly successful department, delivering an engaging and ambitious curriculum across Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level. The department is staffed by a collaborative team of passionate specialists who work together to inspire creativity, musical understanding and performance confidence in students. Music plays a vibrant role in the wider life of the school. Students benefit from a broad and inclusive curriculum which introduces them to classical, contemporary and global musical traditions while developing strong practical and theoretical skills. The Role The successful candidate will: Deliver high-quality music lessons across KS3–KS5 Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum Inspire students through engaging teaching and creative musical experiences Contribute to the department’s extra-curricular programme and musical performances Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain the department’s strong results and reputation Applications are welcomed from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced teachers seeking a new challenge.
