Job description

The position involves integrating geological, petrophysical, and geophysical data to develop robust static models for evaluating hydrocarbon resources and optimizing production strategies. The role requires expertise in reservoir characterization, 3D structural modeling, and volumetric assessment to improve reservoir management and development. Responsibilities include refining stratigraphic correlations, characterizing reservoir facies, proposing analog depositional environments, developing 3D structural models, and evaluating in-place hydrocarbon volumes. Additionally, the Geologist will propose development strategies and well designs that focus on cost-effective solutions to maximize resource recovery.

Required experience and skills

• 10+ years of experience in oil and gas exploration and field development with a focus on gas fields in major international O& G companies (O& G Majors/OFSE Grands) including extensive hands-on experience in geological modeling, stratigraphic analysis, and seismic interpretation.
• Involvement in 5+ Field Development Planning projects
• Proven experience in developing stratigraphic correlations and characterizing both reservoir and non-reservoir facies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex geological data
• Proficiency in geological software and tools used for reservoir modeling and data analysis
• Bachelor' s or Master' s degree in Geology, Geophysics, or a related field
• Fluency in English

Desired experience and skills

• Advanced knowledge of regional geological frameworks and depositional environments
• Experience in cost optimization strategies for well design and development
• Prior work experience in Central Asia, preferably in Uzbekistan
• Knowledge of Russian/Uzbek languages
