An international tobacco company is looking for Deputy General Director, location Almaty!
Job Summary
- Establish and Manage mid to long term business strategies for the factory.
- Manage the factory’s main decisions,
- Report significant matters to HQ and communicate with HQ regularly.
Duties and responsibilities
[Business strategy & Performance Management]
- Establish or confirm Key Performance Indicators and establishment of execution strategies.
- Regular check on KPI progress rate to achieve factory’s management objectives and execute decision makings in order to improve overall Factory’s achievements.
- Review and Evaluate employee’s performance.
- Analyze operations to evaluate performance of the company or its staff in meeting objectives or to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change.
- Direct, plan, or implement policies, objectives, or activities of organizations or businesses to ensure continuing operations, to maximize returns on investments, or to increase productivity.
[Finance & Budget]
- Direct or coordinate an organization' s financial or budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, or increase efficiency.
- Coordinate the development or implementation of budgetary control systems, record keeping systems, or other administrative control processes.
[Human Resource & Organization]
- Manage and handle all the issues and tasks related to all Division and Department.
- Confer with board members, organization officials, or staff members to discuss issues, coordinate activities, or resolve problems.
- Implement corrective action plans to solve organizational or departmental problems.
- Direct human resources activities, including the approval of human resource plans or activities, the selection of directors or other high-level staff, or establishment or organization of major departments.
- Establish departmental responsibilities and coordinate functions among departments and sites.
- Direct or coordinate activities of businesses or departments concerned with production, Quality Assurance, Business Management, or distribution of products.
[Communication & Coaching]
- Review reports submitted by staff members to recommend approval or to suggest changes.
- Deliver speeches, write articles, or present information at meetings or conventions to exchange ideas, or accomplish objectives.
- Interpret and explain policies, rules, regulations, or laws to organizations, government or corporate officials, or individuals.
- Establish and implement plans for cooperation and public relations with external parties.
- Represent organizations or promote their objectives at official functions
- Serve as liaisons between organizations, shareholders, and outside organizations.
- Prepare or present reports concerning activities, expenses, budgets, government statutes or rulings, or other items affecting businesses or program services and communicate with HQ.
[Construction & Production/Quality/SCM]
- Administer programs for construction of buildings, or provision of equipment or supplies.
- Negotiate or approve contracts or agreements with suppliers, distributors, government agencies, or other organizational entities.
- Manage for production performance and output
- Manage Inventory of materials and finished goods.
- Manage for production process and operation
- Manage for Facility maintenance.
Qualifications
Experience
- 5+ years in tobacco industry as director level or,
- Total 10+ years as managerial level at least 1 field among HR / Finance & Accounting / Corporate Affairs field in manufacturing industry and at least 1 field among Production / Quality / SCM in manufacturing industry
- Experience of establishment & setting up of plants/factories (preferred)
- Knowledge
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Market changes and opportunities and respond appropriately
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Ability to multi-task and work to meet deadlines
- Language : Advanced business English
- Other Requirements
- Open mind to other cultures and diversity
- Good communication and relationship with team members
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Working conditions
- This position is full time regular job and is supposed to 8 am – 5 pm
- Work location is Almaty province and can have business trip if necessary
- The organization structure may change depending on the growth of the Business, and the position and duties may be raised accordingly.
