A lovely School, located in Walthamstow, is seeking a dedicated and passionate full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team. As an SEND Teaching Assistant at the school, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students with diverse educational needResponsibilities: Develop and implement engaging and tailored lesson plans to meet the individual needs of students with SEN.Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth.Utilise a variety of teaching strategies, resources, and assistive technologies to facilitate effective learning experiences.Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and support staff to develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.Assess and record student performance, providing timely feedback and conducting regular evaluations.Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and the wider community to ensure a supportive network for students with SEN.Stay updated with the latest research, methodologies, and best practices in special education to enhance teaching effectiveness. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (or equivalent qualification).Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.Experience working with students with special educational needs, preferably in a classroom setting.Strong knowledge of different learning difficulties, disabilities, and associated strategies.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
