NEW CNC SETTER OPERATOR JOB BASED IN CANTERBURY, KENT.A leading manufacturer of a range of interconnect applications for the military and aerospace industries, they are searching for a CNC Setter Operator to join their dynamic team based in Canterbury, Kent.As a CNC Setter Operator you will be responsible for setting and operating lathes to produce small to medium sized batches of components. Additionally you will be overseeing the daily, weekly and monthly maintenance of the machines and reporting any concerns or issues to the machine shop supervisor.Duties as a CNC Setter Operator in Canterbury, Kent. Inspect work according to engineering drawings using various measuring equipment and report any quality defects.Set up and operate CNC lathes.Perform deburring, cleaning, final inspection and completion of all traceability documentation.Optimize efficiencies by reducing set-up and cycle times, as well as monitoring tool life. Requirements as a CNC Setter Operator in Canterbury, Kent. GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.Experience operating CNC machine tools, particularly CNC lathes with a minimum of 4 axis.Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and use measurement equipment for inspection.Strong attention to detail, accuracy and safety consciousness. Desirables as a CNC Setter Operator in Canterbury, Kent. Knowledge of working to AS9100 aerospace quality standards.Knowledge of operating twin spindle machines.
