My client is a fantastic charity which provide services in prisons, community and probation services to offenders in recovery. I am looking for a Family Engagement Practitioner / Family Support Worker to work in a brand new prison in York. This job is a permanent full time role paying £24,000 - £25,000 per annum on a Monday to Friday working pattern with some additional hours required outside (after hours or weekends) of this due to the needs of the service The successful candidate must have Experience of working with families and providing support to families Experience of working with offenders or in the criminal justice system Experience of delivering interventions, 1:1 or group sessions Understanding and experience of safeguarding in adults Driving License and vehicle due to the location of the prison The Family Engagement Practitioner's main responsibilities are to Work with inmates and families in group sessions and 1:1 support Work with the inmates to help them make and maintain links to their communities including their families and local recovery resources Support prisoners to identify healthy and unhealthy relationships Support prisoners to build positive relationships to aid their recovery in and out of prison This is a really exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about working in the criminal justice system and with prisoners!
