Graduate SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant - Hackney Secondary Location: Hackney, East London Job Type: Full-time, Term-time only Pay: £90-£105 per day (based on experience)
A friendly and inclusive secondary school in Hackney is on the lookout for a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a student with special educational needs. This is an ideal role for someone interested in pursuing a career in SEN, educational psychology, or therapy.
You'll play a key part in helping a young person access learning, regulate emotions and build essential life skills.
Your Role:
Work closely with a student who has an EHCP
Implement SEN strategies and support learning
Provide help with social, emotional and communication needs
Track progress and adapt approaches with guidance from the SENCO
You'll Need:
A degree and an interest in SEN or youth support
Patience, empathy and resilience
Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn
Some experience with young people is an advantage
