This full-time, long-term opportunity invites an MFL Teacher to awaken students' curiosity for the wider world through French, Spanish, or another modern language. What You'll Do as an MFL Teacher Deliver vibrant, engaging lessons that ignite a passion for modern foreign languages at KS3–KS5. Encourage students to explore global cultures and express themselves confidently in a second language. Lead immersive classroom experiences and cultural events that extend learning beyond textbooks. Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the language curriculum and raise standards in modern language learning. Build strong relationships with learners, encouraging resilience and risk-taking in language acquisition. Adapt your approach to meet the needs of all learners and track progress through formative and summative assessments. Be a positive presence in school life—because an MFL Teacher here does more than teach; they inspire transformation. The Ideal MFL Teacher Will Have UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a modern foreign language. Experience teaching French, Spanish, or another modern language in a UK secondary school. Passion for linguistics, cultural exploration, and cross-curricular integration. Strong behaviour management skills and a creative approach to student engagement. A willingness to lead or support extracurricular language initiatives. An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
