TPF Recruitment is recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a fantastic accountancy practice near Folkestone. You will be responsible for bookkeeping, management accounts and vat returns for a mixed and varied client base across Kent and the South-East with the opportunity to get involved with statutory accounts and tax work in the future, depending on your aspirations. You will carve a key role here, adding value to clients and building relationships, within a growing team and firm.This very successful firm of chartered accountants, based in Folkestone has developed a strong reputation for delivering quality services, along with building strong relationships with its varied client base. The firm offers a very supportive and team focused environment, reflected by a very low staff turnover and long serving staff.Joining as an Accounts Assistant based from their Folkestone office, you will carve a key, hands on role, as you develop within this firm and environment. Acting for varied sole traders, partnerships and limited companies of varying sizes and industry sectors, you will deliver management accounts, VAT and payroll services to a range of clients, as well as the opportunity to work in statuary accounts and tax.Prepare accounts from client records using a variety of softwareDraft basic tax computations and complete personal tax returnsPrepare monthly bookkeeping, management accounts and VAT returns where appropriateDeal with initial queries on accounts and liaise with clients in a professional mangerManage own time within pre-determined budget for assignmentsRequirementsYou may be AAT studying, qualified, or qualified by experience.You will have anything from 3 - 5 years + experience within a client-facing capacity, either in practice, a bureau or self-employed.Experience of software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Kashflow etc. would be advantageous.Benefits£24,000 - £30,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
