Job Title: KS1/KS2 HLTA/Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a flexible and experienced HLTA/Teaching Assistant to join a friendly school team for the start of the new academic year in September 2025. This is a temporary role to support classroom cover during the first few weeks of term, with the potential for extension.
The successful candidate will work primarily in Key Stage 1 or 2, providing a mix of 1:1 and general classroom support, as well as HLTA cover for teacher release time/PPA. The role also includes lunchtime supervision duties.
Working Pattern (24 hours/week):
Monday: 8:45 - 12:10
Tuesday: 8:45 - 12:10 & 13:10 - 15:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch)
Wednesday: 8:45 - 12:10 & 12:10 - 12:45 (lunch cover)
Thursday: 8:45 - 12:00, 12:30 - 13:10 (lunch cover), 13:10 - 14:55 (30-min unpaid lunch)
Friday: 8:45 - 12:00, 12:30 - 13:10 (30-min unpaid lunch)
Key Responsibilities:
Provide classroom support to pupils and teachers across Key Stages.
Deliver planned lessons and activities during teacher PPA time (HLTA duties).
Offer 1:1 or small group support as needed.
Assist with classroom organisation and resource preparation.
Supervise pupils during lunchtime (minimum 2 duties per week).
Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (essential).
HLTA experience or qualification (desirable).
Confident in leading learning activities and covering classes.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Flexible, proactive, and reliable.
Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
