Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Senior Events Manager to join the team at the famous Science Musuem.The Senior Events Manager will lead on organising and delivering a wide mix of events across both the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum, from meetings and dinners to canapé receptions, museum sleepovers, and silent discos. Acting as the main link between the two venues, the role makes sure events run smoothly and guests have a great experience from start to finish.We Offer:Rate: £46,000 - £50,000 per annum + bonusShifts: 5 days out of 7Contract: PermanentAbout the Senior Events Manager role:To operationally lead on site eventsTo manage catering logistics, including event file handling, event briefing sheet and service plansTo ensure all enquiries and client feedback are managed professionally and in a timely mannerTo continuously work towards improving sales and serviceTo lead and motivate the team through ongoing evaluations, listening, training and mentoringFinancial and budget management including forecasting, cost control and forward planningAbout the ideal candidate:Previous experience in a similar role is desirableEnthusiastic about working in a dynamic and fast paced environmentStrong customer service skillsExcellent communicator with the ability to motivate and inspireFlexibility to work on events as and when requiredPassion for food and wine is a plus!
