This role provides the opportunity to deliver engaging lessons, foster critical thinking, and help students develop a love for reading, writing, and language.As an English Teacher, you will: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons across the national curriculum.Inspire students to develop literacy, comprehension, and analytical skills.Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and engagement.Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting lessons as needed.Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum and extracurricular opportunities.Maintain high standards of behaviour management, safeguarding, and pupil welfare. Requirements for the role of English Teacher: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.Experience teaching English in a school setting.Strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage students across different abilities.Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
