This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young learners’ lives by helping them overcome emotional barriers, build confidence, and reach their full potential both academically and personally.As an SEMH Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEMH challenges.Foster a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment that promotes emotional regulation and personal growth.Collaborate closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to develop and implement individual learning and behaviour plans.Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage motivation, resilience, and a sense of belonging.Monitor progress, adapt teaching strategies, and provide constructive feedback to ensure continued development. Requirements for the SEMH Teacher role: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.Experience working with pupils with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs (highly desirable).Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting students with additional needs.An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
