SATS Intervention Specialist TA (Full-Time) - Central Blackburn Primary School Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a successful track record in raising SATS attainment? I am partnering with a high-achieving, supportive primary school in Central Blackburn (BB1) to recruit a highly motivated and impactful SATS Intervention Teaching Assistant. This is a crucial, full-time role dedicated to ensuring Year 6 pupils are fully prepared for the upcoming KS2 SATS. This position is ideal for a dedicated professional looking to secure a key role for the rest of the academic year (initially until July 2026). Your Impact as a SATS Specialist Working closely with the Year 6 Teacher and leadership team, you will be responsible for driving progress in key SATS areas: Targeted Interventions: Plan and deliver intensive small-group and 1:1 sessions focusing on identified gaps in KS2 Maths (e.g., arithmetic, complex reasoning) and KS2 English (e.g., comprehension, grammar, spelling). Data-Driven Practice: Utilise assessment data to tailor intervention strategies, ensuring all support is high-impact and highly relevant to the SATS curriculum. Progress Tracking: Maintain meticulous records of pupil achievement and provide regular, clear feedback on outcomes to the Class Teacher and SENDCo. Building Confidence: Act as a motivational mentor, helping pupils develop the resilience and confidence required to perform well under examination conditions. What We Are Looking For (Your Essential Criteria) Proven Experience is ESSENTIAL: Must have recent, significant experience delivering SATS interventions to Year 6 pupils. Qualification: Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience/higher qualification). Curriculum Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum and SATS format. References: The ability to provide excellent, recent professional references confirming your success in a similar intervention role.
