We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher to join our committed team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference to the lives of young people who have faced challenges in mainstream education.You will be working at a small, friendly, and highly supportive independent special school for boys aged 5–13 with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Set in beautiful Somerset countryside, our nurturing environment enables pupils to develop confidence, resilience, and a love of learning.About the RoleYou will: Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons that meet individual learning needs.Work closely with a small team of teaching assistants and therapists to provide a holistic approach to education.Foster positive relationships and model emotional literacy and regulation.Contribute to the wider life of the school community. About YouYou will have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.Experience of SEN, preferably with pupils who experience SEMH and exhibit challenging behaviour.A genuine passion for supporting children with SEMH or additional learning needs.The ability to inspire, motivate, and maintain a calm and positive learning environment.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
