ABC Teachers are working with a thriving Birmingham secondary school to recruit a Biology Teacher who can spark curiosity and help students understand the wonders of life, health and the natural world.This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated teacher to join a supportive science department, delivering engaging and interactive lessons that encourage students to think, question and experiment. The role As a Biology Teacher, you will: Teach Biology across Key Stages 3 and 4, and possibly A-Level if suited Plan creative, practical and theory-based lessons that build scientific understanding Inspire students to explore everything from cell biology to ecosystems and genetics Use experiments, demonstrations and digital tools to deepen learning Monitor progress, assess work and support every learner’s development Contribute to the wider Science faculty, sharing best practice and new ideas What’s on offer Salary: £32,916 – £45,352 per year (depending on experience) Full-time, Monday to Friday role in Birmingham Modern facilities, excellent labs and supportive leadership Opportunities for CPD and career progression A welcoming, collaborative school environment About you We’d love to hear from you if you: Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent UK teaching qualification Specialise in Biology or have strong science teaching experience Deliver dynamic lessons that make complex ideas clear and exciting Have great classroom management and communication skills Are passionate about nurturing curiosity and academic success ECTs and experienced teachers are equally encouraged to apply — enthusiasm and subject passion are key!
