SECONDARY PRU TEACHER Location: Tower Hamlets Pay: £150–£250 per day Contract: Full-Time Start Date: Immediate A Different Kind of Classroom. A Different Kind of Teacher. The Role As a Secondary PRU Teacher, you’ll be working with KS3–KS4 learners who require structure, patience, and firm but steady guidance. You will: Plan flexible, personalised lessons that meet varied learning needs. Use emotional intelligence and trauma-informed strategies to support behaviour. Build consistency and routine that help learners reconnect with education. Collaborate with mentors, counsellors, and safeguarding teams. Celebrate progress made in steps—not leaps. Your role as a Secondary PRU Teacher is not just instructional—it is stabilising, grounding, and transformative. What We’re Looking For To thrive as a Secondary PRU Teacher, you’ll need: QTS or equivalent. Experience in PRUs, SEMH, behaviour units, or alternative provision (ideal). Strong behaviour management rooted in empathy, boundaries, and calm leadership. Resilience, patience, and a reflective mindset. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
