Job Title: Exams Officer Location: Nottingham (NG3) Pay rate: £100–£130 per day (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-timeAre you an organised and detail-focused professional looking to support a school’s examination process? GSL Education are looking for a committed Exams Officer to join a secondary setting in Nottingham (NG3). This role is ideal for someone who can work calmly under pressure and ensure all exam procedures run smoothly and efficiently.In this role, you will oversee the planning, preparation, and delivery of internal and external examinations. You will work closely with school leaders, invigilators, awarding bodies, and students to maintain full compliance with examination regulations throughout the year.This position requires excellent communication, strong administrative skills, and a high level of accuracy to ensure all exam arrangements are delivered to the highest standard.Main Responsibilities for an Exams Officer: Coordinate all aspects of internal and external examinations according to awarding body regulations.Manage exam timetables, room allocations, and candidate lists.Recruit, train, and oversee a team of invigilators.Ensure secure handling and storage of exam papers at all stages.Support students with exam procedures, access arrangements, and queries.Produce and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation.Liaise with staff and external organisations to ensure smooth exam operations. Requirements: Previous administrative experience, ideally within a school or exams-related environment.Strong organisational and time-management skills.Confident using IT (Information Technology) systems and managing data with accuracy.Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).A professional, reliable, and proactive approach to all tasks.
