LOCATION: Livingston Designer Outlet SHIFT PATTERN: 4 over 7, 44 hours per weekPAY RATE: £14.00 per hourPOSITION OVERVIEW The Security Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing the security team at Livingston Designer Outlet, ensuring the safety and security of visitors, tenants, staff, and property. This role requires an experienced security professional who can provide strong operational leadership, maintain high standards of security service delivery, and effectively coordinate all aspects of security operations across the retail complex. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, sound judgment in security matters, and the ability to manage a diverse team of security professionals including controllers, security officers, and car park attendants. This position demands a proactive approach to risk management, incident response, and continuous improvement of security operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Operational Oversight Supervise daily security operations to ensure effective coverage across the retail complex. Monitor CCTV, access control, and alarm systems during shifts. Conduct regular patrols and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Support the Duty Manager in implementing security protocols. Incident Response Allocate staff for shifts and ensure proper handovers. Provide on-the-job guidance and coaching to officers and attendants. Monitor team performance and report concerns to the Duty Manager. Assist with HR-related matters (e.g., absence reporting, minor disciplinary issues). Ensure staff compliance with site rules and procedures. Compliance & Training Support Ensure all team members maintain valid SIA licenses. Assist with refresher training and competency checks as directed. Maintain awareness of site-specific security procedures. Communication & Reporting Maintain clear communication between shifts and with the Duty Manager. Record daily operational logs and report equipment issues. Liaise with tenants and customers professionally when required.
