Financial Accountant - Technical & Project-Focused | Rail / Construction Background Preferred Robert Half is working with a established organisation is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its Financial Control team. This role is ideal for a technically strong accountant who enjoys a blend of financial reporting, controls, systems improvement and project-focused work, particularly within a dynamic, contract-driven environment. About the RoleAs a key part of the Financial Control team, you will play a central role in ensuring accuracy, compliance and continuous improvement across the function. Your responsibilities will include: Managing and reconciling the fixed asset register Ownership of IFRS16 lease accounting Preparing statutory accounts and managing change control Delivering high-quality, timely balance sheet reconciliations Supporting both internal and external audits Providing expert guidance on accounting standards, company law and HMRC requirements Strengthening internal controls and collaborating with wider finance teams to mitigate risk Supporting tax computations and broader tax compliance Driving systems and process improvements across finance Ad hoc project support as directed by the Financial Controller This position offers a balance of BAU and project responsibilities, with ample opportunity to influence processes and enhance reporting quality. About YouWe're seeking a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with a strong grounding in technical accounting and financial control.
