Attendance Officer - Secondary School - Wirral (SIMS or Arbor experience essential) Do you have strong experience managing school attendance systems and a passion for supporting students to engage fully with their education? We're looking for an experienced Attendance Officer to join a secondary school in Wirral, playing a vital role in improving attendance, punctuality, and student wellbeing. What you'll be doing: Daily monitoring of student attendance and punctuality using SIMS or Arbor Producing attendance reports and data for staff and Senior Leadership Issuing attendance letters and communicating with parents and carers Making and receiving phone calls regarding absence and concerns Supporting and attending attendance meetings with parents and school leaders Working closely with pastoral teams, Heads of Year, and external agencies Preparing documentation for Local Authority audits, inspections, and Ofsted Supporting strategies to improve whole-school attendance What we're looking for: Experience using SIMS or Arbor (essential) Previous experience in an attendance, administration, or pastoral role within a school Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, during term time Confidence communicating with parents, staff, and external agencies Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail A professional, resilient, and proactive approach What you'll get in return: A supportive and inclusive secondary school environment A key role where your expertise will make a real impact Ongoing professional support and development Free training and guidance from Tradewind If you're an experienced Attendance Officer with SIMS or Arbor knowledge and are ready for a new challenge, we'd love to hear from you.
