Our client are actively seeking a highly driven and commercially focused Business Development Manager to join their business and push on to meet commercial targets over the next 12 months. You will enjoy and have a track record for generating new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and driving sustainable revenue growth while managing sales teams. Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities.Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and profit targets.Conduct lead generation, cold outreach, networking, and market prospecting activities.Deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.Build strong, long-term partnerships with new and existing clients.Understand customer needs to recommend the most effective solutions.Manage key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.Conduct regular review meetings to maximise ongoing business potential.Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.Provide insight-driven recommendations to improve service offerings and pricing models.Collaborate with marketing to support campaigns, events, and promotional activities.Maintain accurate records, forecasting pipelines, and weekly activity updates.Support operational planning to ensure availability and timely delivery of hire and scaffolding services.RequirementsProven track record in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management—ideally within a hire, equipment rental or scaffolding/construction industry but not essential.Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and the ability to work autonomously.Full UK driving licence.BenefitsCompetitive salary starting at £55,000 + uncapped commission (typically reaching £60-70k based on past performance)Company car or car allowancePension scheme25 days holiday + bank holidaysAdditional employee benefitsTo apply for this role please send your CV asap via email.
