Head of Marketing & SalesOxfordshire£75k + Car + Excellent BenefitsWe are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Marketing & Sales to join an organisation operating within the elderly care, care home, and nursing home sector. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for driving occupancy, commercial performance, and brand reputation across a portfolio of care services.You will work closely with the Chief Executive and be a key member of the Senior Management Team, helping to shape strategy within a regulated, values-led care environment.The RoleAs Head of Marketing & Sales, you will lead all marketing, sales, communications, and brand activity across the organisation. You will develop and deliver strategies that support occupancy growth, enhance reputation, and ensure services are promoted ethically and accurately to prospective residents, families, and stakeholders.This role requires a strong understanding of the care home and nursing home market, including the needs of older people and their families, referral pathways, and local authority and private funding landscapes.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a senior leader, contributing to organisational strategy and decision-makingLead marketing, sales, communications, and brand management across care home and nursing home servicesDeliver occupancy growth, sales performance, and commercial outcomesDevelop and oversee care home–specific marketing strategies, including enquiry management, tours, and local engagementOversee brand, PR, digital marketing, and employer brand activityManage media engagement, including reactive and sensitive communicationsUse data and insight to inform, monitor, and adapt marketing and sales strategiesManage budgets and ensure effective use of resourcesLead, manage, coach, and develop a small teamCommunicate effectively with residents, families, professionals, and partnersEnsure confidentiality of information, particularly in relation to residentsUphold safeguarding responsibilities in line with Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults (SOVA) regulationsTake responsibility for personal and team health and safety, following policies and completing required trainingUndertake additional duties as required to support service deliveryEssential Skills and ExperienceProven experience leading marketing and sales within the care home, nursing home, or elderly care sectorDemonstrated success in driving care home occupancy, admissions, or commercial performanceStrong understanding of care home marketing, including private enquiries, local authority placements, and stakeholder engagementExperience managing brand, PR, digital marketing, and employer brandingExperience managing and developing a small teamStrong budget management experienceExperience of media management, including reactive or sensitive communicationsExperience working across dispersed, multi-site, customer-facing care servicesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsData-led approach to shaping and refining marketing and sales strategiesCreative problem-solving abilityHigh emotional intelligence, with the ability to coach, influence, and inspire othersAbility to articulate and share the experiences of residents and families through authentic storytellingDesirable Skills and ExperienceExperience working in a regulated environmentExperience within residential care, nursing care, or dementia servicesThe PackagePosition: Head of Marketing & SalesReports to: Chief ExecutiveLocation: Home-based with regular travel (2–3 days per week)Salary and BenefitsFull-time, permanent role£70,000 – £75,000 per annumCompany car or car allowanceAnnual bonus of up to 6%Generous annual leave entitlementCompetitive pension contribution of up to 9%Enhanced family leaveFlexible working arrangements in line with service needs4 weeks’ Occupational Sick Pay following successful completion of 6 months’ probationPrivate medical and dental insuranceDeath in service benefit (4x annual salary)Refer-a-friend scheme paying up to £500 cash bonus per referralIf you are an experienced care home marketing leader looking to take the next step in a senior role and make a meaningful impact in elderly care, we would welcome your application.
