Monitoring Surveying AssociateLocation: LondonJob Type: Full-time, PermanentReporting to: Project Director / PartnerMarket 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Monitoring Surveying Associate on behalf of our client, a well-established professional services consultancy based in London.This is an experienced-level role within the Monitoring Surveying and Due Diligence division, encompassing both technical and commercial responsibilities. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong, reasoned application of competency and will play a key role in the delivery and management of monitoring surveying commissions of varying scale and complexity.The role is primarily based from the London office, however regular travel is required to meet project demands. Projects are predominantly located across the South-East, though nationwide travel may be required. Flexibility is essential, including working additional hours when necessary to meet project requirements.The position will cover a range of monitoring instructions, from traditional institutional bank monitoring (short-term interests) through to institutional funds and corporate landlord monitoring (long-term interests), working across a diverse client base.Our client operates a collaborative working culture and encourages regular office attendance to support teamwork, knowledge sharing, development, and career progression. Hybrid working is available up to 2 days per week, subject to business needs and company policy.Main Purpose of the RoleTo deliver high-quality Monitoring Surveying and Due Diligence services across a broad range of commissions, while supporting business growth, mentoring colleagues, and maintaining strong client relationships.Roles & ResponsibilitiesThe Monitoring Surveying Associate will be capable of working across all areas of Monitoring Surveying and Due Diligence, including but not limited to:Preparing detailed technical reports, including the effective use of graphical content to provide clear and reasoned conclusionsChairing meetings and reporting directly to clientsPreparing and delivering presentations at both internal and external meetingsDelivering high-quality work through the application of in-depth technical knowledge, judgement, and experienceManaging and overseeing the performance of internal and external team membersManaging time spent on commissions against agreed fees to ensure project profitabilityDeveloping and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, while identifying and pursuing new business opportunitiesAdditional ResponsibilitiesAttending networking and business development events aligned with the company’s corporate strategyActively promoting the company’s services and professional reputationSupporting Responsible Business initiatives, including careers fairs and work experience programmesProviding support to Directors, Partners, and other senior leaders within the businessContributing to the wider operation and management of the PartnershipParticipating in staff appraisals, recruitment activities, and supporting the training and development of colleagues towards professional qualificationsThese duties are indicative and not exhaustive, and the role requires a flexible and proactive approach.Experience, Skills & QualificationsProven experience in Monitoring Surveying and Due DiligenceStrong technical knowledge and commercial awarenessExperience managing projects and supervising team membersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsConfident presenting to clients and stakeholdersAbility to manage workloads and deadlines effectivelyWillingness to travel and work flexibly to meet project requirementsWorking Pattern & BenefitsHours: Full-time, Monday to FridayLocation: London office with hybrid working (up to 2 days remote)Travel: Regular travel required (South-East and nationwide)A competitive salary and benefits package is available, dependent on experience.Market 36 Recruitment Ltd cover a range of sectors including Commercial, Industrial, Engineering, HR & Finance and IT.
