MCS Group are working with the Northern Health and Social Care Trust (NHSCT) to recruit a Finance Analyst to join its Financial Planning (Commissioning) team.This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of safe, effective and compassionate health and social care services by supporting high-quality financial planning, analysis and decision-making across the Trust.You will work closely with senior finance colleagues to support capital and revenue business cases, value-for-money initiatives, benchmarking exercises and financial analysis that directly support service development and improvement. Key Responsibilities:Support the preparation and financial analysis of Capital and Revenue business casesAssist with value-for-money studies, benchmarking and efficiency exercisesContribute to the development and maintenance of financial planning databases and reporting toolsProvide financial analysis to support Service and Budget Agreements (SBAs), service level agreements and contract processesSupport financial planning data collection, analysis and reporting for decision-makingAssist with Research & Development (R&D) financial monitoring and reportingEngage with senior Trust staff, clinicians and professional managers to support financial planning activitiesSupport financial reviews, appraisals, investigations and ad-hoc analytical projects Essential Criteria:Experience / Qualifications:4 years' relevant finance experience ORATI (Accounting Technician) qualification (QCF Level 5) or equivalent with 2 years' relevant finance experienceSkills & Abilities:Strong working knowledge of advanced Microsoft ExcelAbility to analyse, interpret and present complex financial and non-financial dataExcellent planning, organisational and prioritisation skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work to deadlines and use initiative to identify problems and solutionsOther:Full UK driving licence and access to a car (reasonable adjustments apply) What's on Offer:Temporary position, intially for 8 monthsFlexible working following setting in periodGain experience within a large, complex public sector organisationOpportunity to contribute to meaningful public service delivery To speak in absolute confidence about this opportunity, please send an up-to-date CV via the link provided, or contact Sam Boles on Even if this position is not right for you, we may have others that are.
