Our client, a prominent business in the FMCG and agricultural sector, is seeking an experienced Interim Group Reporting Accountant for a contract role. The successful candidate will report directly to the Finance Director and work on group reporting and ad hoc finance tasks. The role involves developing a standard reporting suite at both local entity and consolidated group levels.This a 3-6 month contract role, to start immediately. Strong Power BI experience is essential for this role. The role will be fully on site for first few weeks while you get to know the team and systems etc, and then there willl be 2 days a week working from home after that. Key Responsibilities: Develop insightful and timely group reporting pack for P+L, balance sheet and cashflow against budget, forecasts and prior yearCreate a local entity reporting suite that can be used consistently across the UK, Portugal, and other geographiesUtilise the functionality of Power BI to streamline reporting where possibleAutomate the production of the monthly Exec and Board Finance reportingHandle ad hoc reporting requirementsMaintain capex schedule of actual and forecast spend, with comparison to budgetAddress ad hoc queries, including those from the Finance Director and Group Financial Controller Job Requirements: Relevant finance qualification, such as ACA, ACCA or equivalentProficiency in Power BI and ideally in Microsoft Business CentralExperience in FMCG, food, or agriculture sectors is preferredStrong IT skills, including expertise in MS ExcelExcellent analytical abilities, with ability to present data in an organised and concise mannerGood verbal and written communication skillsCollaborative working ethosAttention to detail and a high level of accuracy Personal Qualities: Professional style and personality'Hands-on' attitude to all aspects of the finance functionStrong attention to detailAbility to meet tight deadlines If you are a skilled accountant with a strong background in finance looking for an interim opportunity, we encourage you to apply now to join our client's dynamic team.
