Senior Data Architect - Data Platform Modernisation (Retail/CPG)£475/day | Outside IR35 | 3 days per week onsite (London) | SC Clearance highly desirableWe're seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead the Discovery phase of a major data platform modernisation programme, shaping the target connected data platform, interim states, and a pragmatic multi-cloud migration roadmap.ResponsibilitiesLead Discovery workshops, planning, and delivery of core artefactsDevelop a clear "As-Is" view of current platforms, operating models, and data productsDefine target architecture and operating model, including governance and ways of workingPresent architecture principles, roadmaps, and blueprints to senior stakeholders and boardsShape interim states and transition strategies, including coexistence and consolidationProduce architecture blueprints, decision logs, and phased migration roadmapEngage senior stakeholders (CDO, CIO, Enterprise Architecture) and lead steering forumsRequirements10+ years in Data & Analytics, with experience as Lead Data / AI ArchitectProven delivery of large-scale data platform strategies and roadmapsExperience across multi-cloud/multi-platform environments (Azure Databricks, GCP Databricks, Snowflake, AWS)Strong understanding of lakehouse, warehouse, and data mesh/federated modelsHands-on with at least one major platform, but platform-agnosticExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsRetail/CPG experience, with knowledge of commercial, supply chain, or marketing data productsSC Clearance highly desirableWhy This Role?Lead a target-state data platform vision and roadmapHigh visibility with C-suite stakeholdersEnterprise-scale transformation across multiple platforms and domainsReasonable Adjustments:Respect and equality are core values to us.
