Job Title: Python Engineer

Level: Middle / Middle+ / Senior 1

Location: Remote (GST±2) or hybrid (Almaty/Astana KZ, Dushanbe TJ, Khujand TJ, Tashkent UZ)

Job Summary:

Born at Stanford University, zypl.ai aspires to become the first unicorn from Central Asia. Our vision is to emerge as a premier global ‘AI factory’ that develops and deploys AI products, generating net good for individuals and organizations. We are a Dubai based provider of SaaS tailored credit scoring solutions for more than 30 financial institutions across 10 markets. In a nutshell, we are looking for a Python Engineer who is going to develop & lead all our products’ backend (credit scoring, collection scoring, collateral estimation etc.). Ideally, candidate has a solid experience in Python apps development, CI/CD and some knowledge of cloud services (preferably Azure Cloud)

We expect that you are able to:

• Technical expertise:

• You understand and implement SOLID principles in development
• You follow OOP where it is necessary
• Python is your second speaking language
• Very good knowledge of Github workflow
• Good knowledge of both NoSQL and SQL like databases
• You know and set up CI/CD at least once
• Know how to work with cloud services Azure/AWS
• (Optional): good system design skills

• Our stack: Python, MLFlow, Azure Cloud, Docker, Github, SQL-like databases
• Effective Communication:

• Well structured written/oral speaking
• English is Intermediate or above — so you can have basic communications with clients IT team and read documentation/articles etc.

• (Optional) Knowledge of Credit Risk, Financial Institutions, and Fintech:

• Familiarity with financial institutions' operations, compliance, and regulatory IT requirements

Preferred background:

• Bachelor' s or Master' s degree in Computer Science or other quantitative field
• Proved 4-5 years of hands-on experience in software development
• Designed and maintained at least one app (big part of the app at workplaces or pet project)
