We are seeking a passionate and experienced ESL Teacher to join our language center in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English to young learners who are at the zero or A1 level of proficiency. The primary goal is to equip these students with the language skills necessary to excel in an international school setting, where English is the medium of instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lesson Planning & Delivery: Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that cater to the needs of young learners, focusing on building foundational English skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
• Curriculum Development: Work with the Academic Director to develop and refine a curriculum that aligns with the needs of students aiming to transition to English-medium international schools.
• Assessment & Progress Monitoring: Conduct regular assessments to monitor students' progress and provide feedback to students and parents. Adjust teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of each student.
• Classroom Management: Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages active participation and fosters a love for learning.
• Parental Communication: Maintain open and regular communication with parents regarding their child' s progress and any areas of concern or improvement.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in ESL teaching for young learners.
• Cultural Sensitivity: Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students from certain cultural backgrounds and ensure a respectful and engaging learning environment.
  
  

Key Requirements:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, TESOL, CELTA or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
• ESL Certification: TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or equivalent certification is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to young learners, preferably in an international or multicultural setting.
• Understanding of Early Childhood Education: Knowledge of child development and early childhood education practices, with experience in teaching English to primary school children.​​​​​​
• Language Proficiency: Native or near-native fluency in English.
• Creativity and Adaptability: Ability to create engaging lessons that cater to the unique needs of young learners with little to no English proficiency.​​​​​​​
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.​​​​​​​
• Patience and Enthusiasm: A patient, empathetic, and energetic teaching style that motivates young learners and helps them overcome challenges in acquiring a new language.
