Manage the tax burden of the Company.

• Guide and advise the country CFOs and the accounting teams on tax compliance regulations: tax returns, tax payments, etc. Monitors tax claims, tax credits, flows (customs formalities, tax deductions)

• Construct the tax plan/ the strategy by anticipating, identifying, evaluating, and monitoring the tax risks and opportunities for the country / area

• Build effective working relationships with the local tax authorities and lead the management and coordination of tax audits/litigations

• Develop a “tax intelligence” and monitor changes in laws / practices (expertise, technical competencies, alerts)

• Communicate efficiently with the Internal Tax network to alert and raise awareness of tax matters relating to business projects and risks (CFOs, tax contacts within the HQ and the Group Tax Department)

• Develop close coordination and cohesion with the HQ and the Group Tax department (Transfer Pricing, M& A, Customs and Reporting) for relevant tax matters

• Develop an efficient professional network to collect best practices, tax alerts…and to represent the Company’s interests on tax issues when necessary

• Lead and manage external tax providers (lawyers, advisers…)

• Recruit, develop, and manage the team to stimulate and empower people to contribute their best.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate would have managerial experience starting from 4 years, and play as proactive business partner and risk manager with work experience in Big 4 + business (any industry with production and distribution of finished goods).

Fluent English is a must.

• Develops a close relationship with his/her clients to raise awareness and to develop good reflexes on tax issues

• Interacts effectively and works closely with the Tax community as well as other functions (CFOs, accountants, controllers, legal, IT etc.)

PROACTIVE RISK MANAGER

• Anticipates and prevents tax risks

• Evaluates the financial and fiscal impacts in order to have a better view of the tax challenges

• Negotiates & convinces internal actors (CFOs, Accounting, Controlling, IT, Legal ...) & external (Tax administration, lobbies, consultants ...)

• Mobilizes internal and external actors in order to solve issues

• Ensures effective and timely reporting to internal stakeholders: hierarchy, the Group Tax Department

• Takes ownership of actions plans and follow-up on tax issues
